I went home last weekend for a big family gathering to celebrate my Mom’s 50th birthday. My Grandfather (we call him “Giddo”) and I were tasked with documenting the event. Here’s a picture I snapped of him while we were getting ready.

Giddo always used to let me play with his cameras, and things really took off when he gave me my first D-SLR as a high-school graduation present. I started taking really cool pictures with that ol’ D70 right away:

The lights of a semi streak down a rural highway.
The Nikon D70 is now in the loving hands of my friend Pat LaClair as he travels around the country with Americorp.
